 in my game you are walking on a pier in magic Sunderland and trying to defeat enemies while getting to the other side






i plan to make a level of rooks pier in Sunderland as the brief states that's where it should take place i feel like this is a good idea as it is a basic colour scheme of grey for the bridge blue for the shy and the ocean and brown for the lighthouse it also works well as a level because it is a straight line which is good for a level.

i wrote pseudo code for how the game would work and a activity diagram which states that you go to the level and try to get to the other side but their are enemies trying to stop you but you have your shield which can shoot magic to defend yourself with.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

you can write a class by right clicking the going to create then c#script and name it something with a                                                                                       capital letter and no space.






















used pro builder in unity to build shapes so in the future i can do this for my levels

Particles for my magic shield weapon made using the particle system and code i intend to improve this later when i have more knowledge on how to. this is proof of my code working in game






                                                                                  
                             
i finished making my bridge as this was my first every big project i was a tad stressed about it what didn't help is that this was like my 5thh time using maya so i barely knew more then the basics i used the cube tool and extruded it to make the pier i used other shapes like cones donut and cylinders to make the light house's shape more complex
























this is the code for the bullet it lets the bullet fly and have a physical hit.
























these 2 are the code for the gun it makes the bullet spawn in front of the gun and fire. the third one is because on of the lines go out of sight
















this is the code for enemies it means that if  the enemies are shot they disappear this is for their death in game.

I added a navmesh which let npcs navigate the level while avoiding obstacles and reach destinations it didn't work the first time because I had a spelling error so I fixed it
















concept art of my enemy i struggled to draw as im not very good at art so i didnt really have any design choices i just made a fish










this is my enemy I made him with 3d basic shapes of cubes and cones I also used the extrude tool to increase size and I moved edges and vertices to get the proper shape he doesn't do damage but he will soon shooting him destroys it this was my first time 3d modelling so I had very little techniques I could use I worked around this by pushing the basic shapes to there limits I got shooting him destroying him working I tested it out by shooting him










 normally what makes a item magical is a large amount of vibrant colours and either one distinctive several, shields on the other hand are about the same but most of the time the colours are less vibrant and the shapes are uniquely shaped.

some of the most iconic magical items in gaming include the tri-force from the legend of Zelda series or the Pandora's box from god of war, some of the most iconic shields in gaming is the hylian shield and the bubble shield from halo


I like this shield design at the right because the shape of the design in the middle looks like a sun and im a fan of space stuff





i like the design at the right because the spiral design is nice along with it being a better shade of blue for my taste








i would like the projectile fired by the shield to be like this colour because it fits the space design because it looks like space




i made an alt design for the shield by first making it a silhouette and changing a few things to make it recognisable then i used clipping mask to place an object on the shield and then i made a gem with photoshops ai but made the aura surrounding it in weavesilk.com

i built the shield in maya using polymodeling spheres cubes and cones as well as the mirror tool by converting it from a nurb to a subdiv and converting subdiv to a polygon
