isometric game













GDD













isometric games have a fixed camera that lets us see the 2d and 3d perspectives of the game









































i am attempting 3D in a style of super giant games like what was asked of me







for my first level i'm trying to make a Niflhiem like level super giants own game Hades can have some inspiration for this


































im struggling to make the frozen river i thik it will look better after A. i colour it and B. i do the surrounding area





it looks like a river now but not a frozen one

i have the idea that once i do the surrounding area it will look colder by association




this is my final version in maya ill be moving to unity from now on .







i ran into the issue of there not being a group option in unity so I solved this problem by clicking on one of the objects and clicking create empty and then i put the rest of the objects underneath that object which did the same thing as grouping would

had the problem of not having a 3rd person charioteer so i went online to find unity starter assets

i got the camera to be isometric but it spins when the character rotates












deleted the cinemachine as it was following the rotation and not the character this fixed it























































 ymir is a giant from Niflehiem so i made him an enemy here art design of an enemy

i put him in unity and working on his code















unity wasn't connected to visual studio so i went into into preferences and re connected them as the image shows

the code didn't exactly work so I had to solve this problem by making it so when you run into the guy and explosions rings out and you are sent to the next level

















i also use this sound on every level that plays in the background









I've decided to make my next enemy I've decided to build a Minotaur


i have an idea for the level too a labyrinth where you start at the start and need to get to the end in a maze but the Minotaur is in the middle and hunting you down 



























i like the idea of two axes













like these horns better the the previous horns













 I finished modeling him by using the cube and polygon cube tool mostly with some use of cylinders i used the extrude tool as well i am happy with how it turned out I will do the level design soon.













i made the enemy chase you and gave it the same sound effect as before but differently it will run at you and end the game if it touches you


























maze is done its made out of cubes with the help of the extrude tool and nothing else the minotaur runs after you in here meaning you need to hurry in order to not get caught






















my next idea for level 3's enemy is Cerberus
















































I made an enemy based on Cerberus the three headed dog of hades now I need to make a level for them









































i made the cerbeus arena Greek themed i used cylinders and cubes to make it along with the insert edge loops tool and extrude
